More than a million people were present at Pope John Paul II’s Beatification. This is such a defining moment in Catholicism, as millions of people from all over the world came to witness history. In order to become a saint one of the requirements is to have performed a miracle. A nun brings up the blood of the late pope because he cured her of Parkinsons. Today showed the interconnectedness of people from all over the world sharing one common belief/faith/religion. People waved flags in the air to represent their country. This sense of pride for culture and religion is solidified in our ever changing world.
